How to get Gold Camo / Camouflage on Call of Duty Black Ops 2 (BO2)

In this guide I will talk about what you need to do in order to get Gold Camouflage on your weapon on Black Ops 2. While each gun is different I will give general information about the guns, and what you need to do to get the gold camo.

Gold camouflage has been on every Call Of Duty game since Call of Duty 4. It is something that every person strives for, and enjoys to see their weapon as a gold gun. With that being said, each game has always made you jump through hoops in order to get the Gold Camo's.. Black Ops 1 ad the easiest means of getting a gold camo, because in order to achieve this all you had to do was have a lot of money in your bank from playing online games.

Black Ops 2 has changed this in a couple ways, and made this a little more difficult to achieve which i will talk about below.

All you need to do in BO2 to receive the gold camo is simply UNLOCK all the other camo's.. By doing this you will unlock the gold camo, but to do this there are some steps that you must take.. So basically there are two things you need to do in order to get the gold camo you want in Black Ops 2.. First off is headshots... the second is prestige...

The headshots part has been the same in most of the call of duties.. You need a certain number of headshots depending on the gun in order to unlock all the other camo's. Once this is done, then you will be able to get the gold.

The other step is prestige. I am not talking about prestiging you character, I am talking about prestiging your weapon. This can be done once the maximum level has been achieved on the gun. Once you prestige a weapon it then unlocks the rest of the camos. You will still need to do certain things to get these camos, but if your after that precious gold camo, then it really is worth doing in order to achieve the gold camo that you are after.

Once you have completed the steps below you will be able to acquire the gold camo on your guns. This is no easy feat, but some guns like the sniper rifle, I have noticed that people already have the gold. I use mostly the light machine guns on core, and sub machine guns on hardcore, so this is going to take a lot more time from me. None the less, it is not something that is impossible to do, and will take little effort once you get the hang of things.

Overall just remember to have fun. If you focus on just headshots, you will get tired and sick of this game, or not appreciate the gold camo when you do get it. If you stick to one gun over time you will eventually get the camo you desire.
