Intro
So the Mother of all bombs or MOAB for short, is a very difficult thing to get, but is worth getting at least once. In this hub I will tell you the things you should know along, with the best strategy to get it. A few things you should remember
You must get a 24/25 kill streak, you cannot get this with support class by dying. YOU MUST get a 24/25 kill streak.
The reason i say 24 instead of 25 is because if you follow the Specialist strike package then you will not need to get 25 kills, because you will unlock hardline after 8 kills or sooner, allowing 24 kill streaks for your MOAB.
The Mother of all bombs by some is still something they have never seen, and while you may strive to get one it will not be easy.I will show you below the best way to get one though
The strategy
As far as your weapon, you can choose any gun you want, but keep in mind you should use something that is smart. I would say, something with a silencer, and also something that you can maneuver pretty good. Beyond that i will leave you to personal preference on your weapon.
As far as your game type. You should not play kill confirmed or team deathmatch, as both of these end fairly quickly and you will not be able to successfully your 24/25 kill streak. I would say objective typed gaming is the best to follow.
As far as play style you should not camp. Although camping is nice and all for getting a few kill streaks, when people catch on to what you are doing, you will most likely get killed after camping. So i suggest picking a corner area about 1/4 the size of the map, and after getting each kill, being alert and slowly moving so you can continue to watch both your angles and get kills.
When choosing your killstreaks this can this can be crucial. Please keep in mind that you cannot die. So support class is useless. Also if using the assault kill streak class i hear that you cannot use the killstreaks you get towards the MOAB. When i got my MOAB i used the specialist strike package. This allows you to unlock all of the perks, and replenish your ammo, while fighting for the MOAB. I will always personally say that you should use the specialist strike package when going for a MOAB. I do not usually use this strike package but for the MOAB it is the easiest way to get it, and what i suggest.
Overall when you are striving for the MOAB you should remember. Keep moving, but don't use the entire map. Keep a gun with a silencer, and good maneuverability. The best kill streak package to use is specialist, as this will give you the biggest advantage. And overall, take your time. Do not rush around, you should let your kills come to you, so pick a good spot and hold that down.

Thanks for commenting, but TECHNICALLY the original name for this by Inifinity Ward is Mother of All Bombs, and got added as massive ordinary air blast after release, but can still be called either and be known as both.
Actually he's wrong the real life version of this weapon is called a "massive ordinance air burst" not an ordinary air burst.

I need a hub on how not to die and keep on streaking. Im at 2nd Prestige lv 50 and its embarrasing whn i get about 13 kills and 19 deaths (which usually happens ). My friends make fun of me on how much i suck, i mean my ratio is .486 ! Help.....

Im a noob, by the way. Some times I set the streak to predator, precision airstrike, and reaper. I also sometimes set it to support SAM, stealth bomber, juggernaut. Any one of these good for a MOAB ? I have absolutely no luck with streaks.
Well for a MOAB your kill streaks do not count towards it, so you have to get 25 kills without dying with no kill streaks. My gun set up is, ACR, 2 attachments (holographic scorp and silencer), FMG9 akimbo, semtex, blind eye pro, assassin pro, dead silence pro, assault kill streaks with predator, airstrike, helicopter, and final stand perk. But thats my hardcore setup.

Sorry about the delay. You should use hardline as your main perk, then assassin, and it really doesn't matter because after 8 kills you unlock everything.

Keep in mind that when going for your moab a lot of factors come into play, and having a team to help you is extremely important. Best to just stick with it, and keep trying.
Easiest way by far to get a M.O.A. B is to play infected on split screen and get the person signed in as guest/player 2 to kill himself as soon as first infected comes up, then once he's infected meet and kill him again. Find a good spot and keep using tactical insertion (player 2) to spawn right in front of player 1. Repeat this and you'll get one in no time. If you're like me and die a lot, it's the only way you'll get one, lol. I wouldn't have several under my belt otherwise, lol. Good luck :-)
Well, keep in mind that A this was written WAY before the infected game came out, and two this is for the non cheating method. Cheating in my head is not right, and i don't do this when i play, BUT at the same time i have gotten the M.O.A.B by not cheating on infected, so now i think that overall it is a better way for you to do things.
I was playing infected online, and a guy got 42-1 with a MOAB. I was blown away ! I was second to final survivor.
Nice, Infected is the best new way to get a MOAB, and I have gotten a couple on Dome. But keep in mind, that my guide is written based off not using infected, and playing the multiplayer standard game types.

Getting a MOAB is no easy thing. Just keep trying at it, and you should be able to get this eventually.
If u get a Moab in infected it does not count
HAHA well, it does not count by me, and I am not sure about whether it counts in the rankings, but either way, my guide is for non infected players, and this is how i got my MOAB before the Infected was even thought about.
guys i just got a moab 3 hours ago, use mp7 with red dot, Stinger to shoot down airsupport( teamplayer) flash, semtex, slieght of hand,
hardline, steady aim, run specialist for quuickdraw, assasin, and blast sheild.. listen to me this is my 18 th moab..
See, if this is true, this guide was designed for you, trying to get the MOAB on non-infected game types. Congrats..
at the Trek guy a few comments up:
this wouldn't work a lot as other infected players would catch on and try to kill u when you r kill the guest, as they see they skull and crossbones as to where they died, and you would get overwelmed by enemies. an easier way in infected would be to find a room with only one door to get in, have the infected guess block the door, and shoot around them to get the moab. that is a much better infected strategy (once you find a room like this, which there is as i have seen a friend do this).
@ Arandomhumanbeing: This used to be much more effective before zombies had throwing knives. Now I know they keep changing things so I am not sure if they have taken them away since its been so long since I have played Infected, but I know when his comment was written no skull and crossbones showed up on the map either. So as things change it does make it harder on the game, but I feel a MOAB is still easier on this game mode than on regular multiplayer, but either way, This guide is not meant for infected.

How many kills does FFA go up to. I haven't played FFA much but I thought it was 30? If that's the case you could potentially get 1, but that would be very difficult.

Well, thank you Isytown for commenting. Let me try to help. First off, if you are playing a clan don't bother attempting a MOAB, because A- they communicate everytime someone dies, and even more importantly if they see you getting close they will all be coming for you. If you see a booster, and you report them at the end of the game for cheating, or boosting. You highlight their name in the lobby and select report. Silencing a weapon can sometimes make killing an enemy harder especially at long distances, but mastering the weapon at those distances will help you greatly.
Thanks john for the quick reply. Can u plz advice me: sometimes I use usas 12 shotgun with range and extended mags. Is the xtra mags supposed to give me more damage and I keep getting hitmarkers at short range wen am batteling with the enemy! Thanks
The extra mags, is solely giving you more ammo. You should not see any more damage with extra mags on, just more bullets. If youa re using shotguns, i personally would suggest the striker or 1887 for their power, as unless they fixed in the last month they are overpowered and give a shotgun user an advantage.
to someone and johnrr631992: yes you can get the MOAB in free for all. I have seen it done legitimatly. I save the game in my vault - pretty impressive. But more often than not boosters come into a ffa game and boost to get the MOAB by setting a tactical insertion and the other guy keeps killing them. I always report these players and also try to hunt them down and spoil their plans by killing them and not letting them get the 24-25 kill streak. :-)

Yep. Nice. Anyone play on PS3 ? I think XBOX is easier for a MOAB because about every video on YouTube is on XBOX. I have seen only 7 so far playing on PS3.

I just had a 26 kill streak on lockdown but didn't know that you can't use killstreaks toward the Moab, then i read your hub. Thanks for the helpful info, too bad I didnt read it 20 minutes ago haha
LoL MOABz are a breeze if you play with a full team. 202 so far since february when i started trying for them, and i got seven yesterday, eight the day before. The most fun way to get one is on interchange spawn trapping on "A" flag. I use Pred Reaper Osprey, and usually get it between my second and third osprey. Just go for assists! My best game so far using this setup was 68-43-0, and i just started using this about a week ago, but i have seen more than one person break a hundred kills with it. One of my friends went 119-1 with this, good luck.
Sounds like a lot of work, but I guess if it works keep doing it. Personally I think getting 26 kills is the easiest way, but whatever works.
To f5rbullet- I hunt them to, I remember my mw2 days, if I remembered the set up id tell u, but I remeber ak47 heartbeat and sitrep looking for the boosters and ruining there day. And to john.
Not saying this isint helpful, but in reality "GET A LIFE" lol jk but really what johns saying is true, know your setup, and specialist is ur number one, snce u can't use streaks, I recomend sleight hand, hardline, dead silence, then for the streak put 1.assasins, 2.blastshield 3.blindeye(or scavenger if u piss ammo like crazy) people tell me use blind eye for first perk, dont do this, u will get 8 kills before that is even needed,(hopefully),
I haven't got an moab, but I got a good catch on how, and the moodyour in has a good effect on how you play to, some days you just aren't in the "gaming" mood for it, like me, I'm naturally good, as in a game I go 23- 13. About. Bad days I culd range 9-25. Its just your mind set on certain days.
I use Support UAV, Ballistic Vests. Killstreaks repeat after geetting the last one so Ballistic Vests are an amazing Asset. Gotten 10 with Support and 0 with Specialist.

if you have trouble getting clan free lobby's and u have the maps u should try disableing them if u have bought elite they get free maps and they play on them

hello my xbox name is the name above. i am such a noob as my frends call me. :(. but i started playing online for the first time this year on my xbox. my problem is, is that i can go like 40-0 in black ops but when i switch to mw3, i cant even get a 2 or 3 killstreak without dying like 5 to 9 times. sometimes i will get lucky and get my uav, care package, and pred 2 times without dying. my favorite 2 classes to use are ump with suppreser, rapid fire. mp9 or skorpion silenced. semtex. flashbang. recon, hardline, and marksman. death streak ded mans hand. second class i love to use is acr. kik. silenced. mp9 or skorpion suppresed. semtex. flashbang. recon pro. hardline pro. marksman pro. uav, care package, and pred. dedmans hand. i really need advise. if u 1v1 me u will probably beet me. any tips. i just started playing cod in january of 2012.

i have nearly 100 moabs and barely play use any gun u want but u have to like the gun and know how to control it. domination is a easy mthod to use. If u really want one and you set ur full mind to it u will get one
