How to get to high levels In Spec Ops Survival mode On Call Of duty Modern Warfare 3 ( MW3 )
80Intro
So this guide will teach you the basic strategies that can be applied to all of the survival mode maps throughout spec ops on Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3. You will learn which things are worth buying, and which things aren't and how to get far in the game
The things to buy
I always suggest going as far as you can before you have to buy weapons, but eventually you will reach the point when you need weapons. Initially i always suggest an assault rifle, because there cheap and you can take them far, but either that or an a LMG will help. When you buy a weapon, stay away from Snipers, Shotguns, pistols, sub machine guns, or anything that is not in the assault rifle/ Light machine gun class. If you choose assault rifles, i would say buy the best one you can buy at your level, and continue to do this through all the levels, and if you buy a light machine gun, it really doesn't matter which one you buy, but i suggest buying the best one you can at your level.
Personally i suggest light machine guns over assault rifles because you can carry more ammo. And when you have to buy more ammunition at later rounds you will get the bigger bang for you buck, so i suggest using a light machine gun and if so, buy them for both of you classes.
As far as kill streaks go, i do not think this is very important, but you can buy them. This will help you as you as you play throughout the game, but as i said, i do not find these crucial in the early levels, and you can manage later levels without having any of these.
When it comes to predators, or attack copter, i would say predator missiles are key. They are great for taking out the juggernaut that you will face at higher levels. I would not suggest using either of these at early levels, as these will not help you get as far as you need to throughout the game. They will kill the enemy but its more of a waste of money, than using your weapon.
As far as the assistance by either a riot shield team, or a regular team. If you can wait then i will always suggest spending the $5000 to buy the riot shield team. They will last much longer than the regular team and are very effective.
Buying a turret. This is also crucial. The turrets do matter, The grenade turret is much better than the regular turret, but if your not a high enough level a regular turret will be fine. But either way a turret is crucial. I will get to where you should place it on this level when i talk about your strategy for where to go.
As far as explosives and everything else from the grenade box, i would say not to worry about it. The only crucial thing is that you always maintain a self revive, because at any point something could go wrong you and you may need a pick up. So whether your playing alone or with a friend it is key that you ALWAYS have a self revive. Also it can be smart to keep your flashes stocked up especially when the juggernauts come along, this will allow you to stun and paralyze them for easier killing.
Where to go, and how to play
The best early strategy, is movement. Stay moving through the first few levels as the enemy has bad accuracy, and will not shoot you if you stay moving. Once automatic weapons get involved with the enemy it will be a good time for you to camp. This is when you should choose to find a place and stay still.
When picking a place on a map, you should find an area that has only a could entrance to you, but also that you can easily escape ( i will have guides eventually that will cover every map, some out now that will show you where to hide). You should aim turrets where the lower amount of enemies will come, you face the large amount of enemies with light machine guns, and lay into them. This will make it easy for you to get far in the game.
The juggernauts are not as hard as people make them to be. A simple predator missile, or LMG clip will take him out. Having riot shield squad helps a lot too.
So this guide should teach you the basics. If you have questions, or need help please feel free to comment, or ask questions so i can help you and others.

Hi John, great guides mate. Thanks for taking the time to put your thoughts online. A couple of qns (apologies if the answer is somewhere already and I missed it):
1. do you play on ps3 or xbox?
2. related to qn 1, when you refer to a killstreak box do you mean the air support armoury? (maybe this is a ps3/xbox thing - i play on ps3).
3. couldn't agree more with your thoughts on self-revive, i always like to have it too. but any thoughts on when you go down surrounded by armoured guys who shoot out your self-revive? hard to kill them with just the pistol. maybe there's no solution to this, other than to get better at the game....
thanks.
Any suggestions for juggernauts at high waves like 70, seems like nothing will kill them. We hit them with predetor missiles, lots of c4, riot shielders, and LMGs, and still die.
The only problem with moving is the choppers, they are like juggernauts themselves, we hit one chopper with two predator missiles, and it was still flying. But we did find that If you headshot a juggernaut with an RPG, it dies no matter what.
I know from personal experience it takes closer to 200 rounds of LMGs at waves 60-70, and after facing juggernaunts you don't have that ammo.
is there anyone that think they can do better than me on resistance map?i would like to see someone in action...maybe i can learn something new...im on ps3.i unlocked all of my weapons and equip.
Thanks for this useful informations.

Strikers are great against juggernauts. They die in less than a clip and if you need to reload, just get bhind them since they can't manuever that well. Armored juggernauts require more than 1 clip though.
