Intro

This guide/hub will teach you the tips and strategies that you can and should use to get to high levels on the map Seatown for survival mode on Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3.

PLEASE NOTE ::: Below is a guide for general strategies for all survival maps that i suggest you read prior to the rest of this hub. I will reference and not going into great detail on the things you should use. But if you read the guide i give full reasons of why you should use each item.

The Map

So first let me go over what the icons on the map means, and then i will move along to the strategy that you should follow in order to get to high levels on this map.

First off the orange X's - These will be the turret placement for this map. It does not matter which turrets you buy and place here but this is the best area to place them, i will explain this later on.

The red X's are the players. They represent where the players should stand, which as you can see is upstairs, with 1 person in each room. I will talk about the strategy for them later on.

The blue lines. This is the path of the enemies. Since you are elevated all the enemies will have to follow a certain route, and this will put you at an elevated advantage.
Below is the Strategy

The Strategy

So following this strategy you should be able to get to high levels fairly easily. When i chose this location a few things came into play. First off your at a high elevation which makes you a hard target to get hit by the enemy. Second off, there are plenty of escape routes for when or if you get trapped or need to get away from juggernauts. The third part is there is limited ways of getting to you, If you place the turrets where i have shown below, and go where i show, you will have no problem stopping all enemy troops from coming after you.

Before i get to the actual strategy let me say, i suggest reading once again my guide above on making it to high rounds, as here i will only tell you what to use, but in that guide i will give you reason to using that.

So now for the strategy. This is fairly easy, simple to do, and will get you very far. Basically each round you should start off by each being in position, with one person facing the window by the turrets, and the other person in the room near the stair case.

The person near the stair case should begin by crouching at the top of the staircase, this will give you good movement, plus allow you to take the enemy out one by one as they run up the stairs after you. You should have no problem at all covering this area and will have a huge advantage overall.

As far as the person near the window. You have a little more work to do, but with the turrets beside you, it should not be that bad. So what you should do is worry about the window first, and take out all enemies that build up right outside the window. After the window, then you should also be watching the turrets as well, so the enemy does not build up to much on the turrets.

Overall with each person facing each way you should have no problem making it to high levels. Below i will include links to my other hubs that will teach you the tips and tricks needed to get to high levels on the other survival maps.

Well because when your playing with 2 people putting a sentry there is useless as not a lot of people come this way, and even if they do, it really is not more than you can handle. The other way is where the majority of troops come from.

Try making these adjustments:

(1) The person next to the ladder move into the house with the stairway where the other player is, and then lie prone at the doorway facing the ladder (it's between the two red marks on the map) so guys can only run at him from one direction

(2) This player should then place 3 x C4 every round with one at the top of the ladder, one in the middle of it, and the last at the bottom of it - detonate it when you see the first guy climb the ladder

(3) Further, this player should place three claymores each round on the walkway adjacent to the ladder (this is to the left of the two orange marks on the map)

(3) Place your two turrets on the overpass to the left of the top red mark position (this is white rectangle) facing approximately 45 degrees - but on chopper rounds the staircase player should move them inside

The staircase player is the harder position to play.

Made it to wave 49 following this.

OtherwiseGravy7 - add me if you want to play

Good Strategy, and i like your placement. I will try this out, and if it works with me and my partner a lot better than ours, ill add second portion or adjustments to my guide. Thanks, and appreciate the feedback.

if you are referring to how many waves there are, then there are infinity, the game continues until you die.

Both players lay down prone on the rail outside the room with the red x and square staircase. Post turrets on balcony overlooking the south end

Guess it'd be the west end on the above map

I normally make it to 45 with out turrets and just camp at the marked areas and dont buy anything extra until level thirty. maybe the sentry guns are what I need to get further..

My friend and I make it to wave 60+ (81 is our record) all the time, staying in the other building (across this building, one ladder and set of stairs inside, room with all the computers inside) Great area!

I got to round 67 by camping on the top left of ur map with 2 riot squads & and one sentry at each entrence works best with team work

Yes each method works best with team work. That is usually the trick, is finding the right teammate, either way, congrats on 67.

try camping at the bottom right of the map you can get really far if you keep sentry on the bin to the right, only problem is your ages away from all of the crates

Not a bad strategy... But the crates thing is the problem I encounter...

Well, I've usually used the 'camp the 2nd floor room' type of strategy provided, but I found a different one! To sum it up, some maps have locations where the enemy AI has trouble reaching you. This map is one of them!

Using the below strategy, I have reached wave 33 which puts me in the top 1500 scores on PC.

Strategy Setup:

For the first few rounds, just get as much cash as possible. After wave 2, make sure you at least 5 C4 after EVERY round. Get SoH after wave 3. When possible, buy 2 REGULAR sentries. Set them up at the BOTTOM of the stairs BEHIND the restaurant. They are only there to distract enemies from coming into the alley through the restaurant. (It works better with the sentries there, don't ask me why.)

Main Strategy:

After each round (preferably not before juggernaut rounds, the C4 are more useful concentrated on those ones), place 5 C4 in the open area. Starting from the restaurant door closest to the equipment box, place 5 C4s with enough spread that you get the area by the door (outside of it, of course), behind the yellow car, and behind the green car. Those are where the enemies will crowd, trying to throw frags THROUGH the wall at you.

While facing the same direction as the sentries, hug the left wall and move up into the corner. Dogs and the occasional enemy (usually the gas guys) will come into the alley. YOU have to shoot them, the sentries will NOT because they apparently think they might shoot you. (Why? I have no clue.)

Juggernaut Strategy:

RUN. Try to avoid the gas mines and claymores. Either run TOWARDS a crowd of regular enemies with a high RoF gun (FMG-9 works unusually well for this...) or rape train them. Only work on the juggernauts AFTER everyone else is dead. Take care of them in your preferred method (flashes and point-blank spraying or a mass of C4 work well).

Helicopter Strategy:

Get the sentries inside the restaurant IMMEDIATELY. Place 1 on the ruined doors facing the stairs, and the other immediately to the left of it facing the well. Go back to the usual corner and deal with the ground enemies first (like you usually would). Finally, take out the choppers. I have discovered that shooting the cockpit is significantly more damaging than shooting anything else (1 clip from an AK-47 can kill a helicopter).

Notes:

If you can pull it off, you shouldn't really need to run to the killstreak box at all, and the equipment box is close enough that you could even hit it twice between rounds (if you're fast enough). If you REALLY need to visit the killstreak box, do it while on the run during a juggernaut round or leave 1 enemy alive and run for it. (It has been a LOOONG time since I last used a predator on that map XD)

I haven't tried this (well, haven't tried survival) in co-op yet... I only have 3 friends on Steam who have this game, and they usually don't play it anyways. It SHOULD work with 2 people back there, but I don't know yet.
